Taylor Leese

Taylor Leese is a software engineer turned infrastructure leader with extensive experience in large-scale distributed systems and engineering leadership. Throughout his career, Taylor Leese has led high-impact infrastructure advancements, most notably in his past leadership roles at LinkedIn and PayPal. Currently, he is founder/partner of Milos Ventures, where he focuses on early-stage startup investments. His expertise in cloud computing and platform engineering has influenced mission-critical systems in enterprise technology.

His early career at Lawrence Livermore and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories provided hands-on experience in software development and security-focused computing. At Accenture, he worked on scalable architecture projects for AT&T, and at Gogo, he contributed to the development of in-flight Internet infrastructure. In these roles he gained extensive experience in performance optimization and enterprise systems.

At LinkedIn, Mr. Leese oversaw key storage and data infrastructure initiatives, managing large-scale migrations and optimizing messaging systems. His leadership extended to Kubernetes adoption, data center expansions, and engineering team management.

Among his most notable achievements, he led LinkedIn’s largest infrastructure migration, scaling 4.5 trillion messages per day. While at PayPal, he focused on backend service integration, improving platform scalability and reliability.
